Thank you for your willingness to serve the Lord through the ministry of BYC this summer. BYC exists to engage, encourage, and equip people to follow Jesus through providing opportunities for genuine awe, intentional community, and authentic worship. This takes place all over campus, and we want to be sure to direct our efforts to these ends around the dinner table, in recreation, during chapel, and in each aspect of camp.
The 2026 Baptist Youth Camp theme is “Faithful”. God is faithful! Throughout history the Lord has remained steadfast; the same, yesterday, today, and forever. Through our weeks of camp the goal will be to encourage and remind campers (staff and volunteers) that the Lord is faithful! God is unchanging, He is the perfect Creator, the faithful One, worthy of all of our praise. Sadly, sin entered the world and as a result all of creation is broken. Over the course of human history there has been an ongoing battle waging. As a result we too are broken, sinful people, in need of a Rescuer. From the very beginning there was a plan, and throughout the old testament we see this plan communicated and unfold. Through the faithfulness of the Lord, Jesus came to this world He created, God-in flesh, and had victory in this battle over sin. He faithfully lived a perfect life, gave himself as the ultimate sacrifice through death on a cross, He was buried and amazingly 3 days later rose to life - defeating the power of death. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we realize that this faithful Savior has granted us impeccable life in Christ. Scripture says those who are in Christ are a new creation. As we consider the implications of this and the impact on our lives it is reasonable, and essential to adjust our thinking in all aspects, to live lives of worship of the one who is faithful, the one who does what He says He will do. Our response to the one who is faithful is to draw near, to hold fast to the confession of our hope, and to encourage one another as we gather and live for Jesus.
Memory Verse: Hebrews 10:23-25 (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
