Summer Staff Internship (Si '21)
Summer 2021 is a unique opportunity for the Ministry of BYC to invest and impact in the lives of current and future staff members. Since we will not be hosting traditional summer camp programs (see Summer '21 Update) it allows us the time and energy to focus on preparing those who have served and who will serve in the years ahead.
Likely Program Dates : June 29th-August 7th.
Those who are a part of Si '21 will participate in the activities, service and trainings through out this time. Once we have a clearer idea of who can participate we will iron out the details. Primarily this will take place Tuesday-Saturday
Program Elements :
Camp class, service opportunities, chapel, spiritual formation, and hands on ministry.
Goals :
• To be equipped to serve the Lord through the ministry of BYC and beyond.
• To develop tools of the trade - Basics in Biblical Counseling, how to study God's Word, time in prayer and in God's creation, hands on service.
• Working in Christian community; discovering and using your gifts for the glory of God.
This is a paid internship:
1/2 after 3 weeks and the balance at the end of the program.
Requirements :
• 15+ years old.
• A follower of Jesus, with a heart for the ministry of Baptist Youth Camp.
• Fill out the application below (Please apply by June 15th)
• A commitment to the program in its entirety.
Important notes :
• Our plan and prayer is to have a cabin of female staff interns and a cabin of male staff interns, this allows for other ministry opportunities to happen simultaneously on campus.
• There will be limited access to phones and technology. Especially in the first few weeks.
• Those who have not had covid in the last 3 months or been vaccinated (not required) will agree to on-site testing (using a test kit) as needed. This will allow us to interact more freely, and to not have to wear masks when we are together. Please note when there is another group (besides us) on campus it is likely we will wear masks according to CDC guidelines, we can speak about this more if you would like clarity on this. We desire to be as mask free as possible.
