BYC's COVID-19 Information Page
Although we desire COVID to be a thing of the past, the reality is we are still living in a pandemic era. While the severity of risk from illness to youth is markedly low, with staff members, volunteers and family members, a typical BYC camp is home to people of all ages and medical conditions. Therefore, to operate as safely as possible we must take seriously the possibility of COVID infection and will abide by the following expectations.
• A camper experiencing COVID symptoms * may not attend camp. Should this be the case all but the non-refundable deposit of $50 will be refunded.
* Possible symptoms according to the CDC Website :
• A camper who has been in close contact (15 minutes or more of direct exposure) with a COVID positive individual within the last 7 days must show proof of a recent negative PCR covid test upon arriving at BYC.
• A camper who develops COVID-19 symptoms during his/her camping session will be removed from programing and cared for in quarantine and parents will be contacted for immediate pick up.
• By attending camp parents and campers accept the risk of possible infection of COVID-19 and will not hold BYC liable for such infection or reactions to infection.
