If you have never had the opportunity
to be a part of
the BYC experience,
you are missing out!
Over the course of summer and throughout the year,
young people from all over
Washington County and Hancock County (and beyond!) flood to the BYC grounds
in Charlotte for an unforgettable time of fellowship, worship, adventure, and FUN!
The Spirit of God is present at BYC.
Many hearts are changed through the powerful message of the gospel
and young people are encouraged to live every part of their lives for Christ.
What's in store for campers this summer?
 |
There are many things in this world that distract us from what is truly important.
At BYC, this year, we will take a look at what we should focus on - Jesus Christ!
Through adventure, laughter, fun, and fellowship we will be looking into the things of God.
Using the Bible, we will strive to grow in our understanding of what it means to
"set our mind on things above" every day of our lives.
As we seek God each day, our lives will be changed!
God is awesome and we can't wait to see all that will take place this summer at BYC. |
That's all great! But tell me more...
BYC is a non-profit, charitable organization owned and governed by the Maine American
Baptist Churches of the East Association. We have been serving children, families and churches
since the mid 1950’s, and offer many unique camping opportunities each summer.
Additionally, our facilities and grounds are available to individuals, families, and churches who find
themselves in need of some relaxation, spiritual direction, or a retreat from the day to day world.
The camp covers 75 acres and borders Lake Penamaquan. You can find us at 9 Baptist Road in the rural Maine town of Charlotte. We provide daily recreation opportunities as well as daily Bible study and worship. |

What about health and safety?
 |
Our beautiful camp provides a range of safe and healthy camping and retreat opportunities.
Regular summer camping is offered for children grades 3 - 12, and includes:
Supervision by trained staff members at
a ratio of 1:5 staff per camper.
On site Nursing services.
Meals prepared by qualified food service personnel, in a newly upgraded kitchen and dining facility.
Waterfront activities such as swimming, canoeing, and kayaking under the supervision of certified life guards. |
Do you have programs for families and adults?
We most certainly do! In addition to camping, several retreat options are available throughout the year.
These events are exciting and lots of fun - please check the schedule page for more information.
